But you wont find these flaws in this manhua. The MC is someone who got power 10 years + before the series started ,when he was still a child. Show Spoiler (mouse over to view) His childhood was already harsh yet a happy one. But after he lost his parents he fell down in spiral of delusion and was then tricked by a demon without knowing the cost his power had Spoiler (mouse over to view) they end up falling in love (he and the demon), but the cost is either his or his loved ones life ,but he never knows until her death . Because of this and the mayhem around the world he was sometimes used and ruthlessly mowed down anything he perceived as an enemy/threat. After he got older he(zero) ended up as a symbol that constantly reminded him the atrocities he'd done , so he quits that identity. It started as a parody to the many other unreasonable Asian "hero" franchises, different mythologies. And the true plot was dark, but you could still ignore it and focus on the comedy/action. Edit: The MC si way more moralist now (I guess it was to be expected from a popular Chinese series) and the sword spirits+Anya fill 1/5 of the chapters for no reason at all (there use to be echi scenes here and there. but fillers have gone up), I mean it's easy to skip a chapter talking about a mecha, but it's frustrating to have that plus the batte take a whole chapter for it to blow up. And deaths are becoming rarer (in the last 2 arks he's basically spared or saved everyone). The thing I most liked about it was that there was no "Status Quo Is God". Even the most absurd actions were permanent (death,a character becoming rich/poor, giving superhuman intelligence to his dog...). Now it's your generic chinese bs*. ... Last updated on June 23rd, 2022, 9:54am The worst part of this manga is how unoriginal it is. There are thousands of similar or near-identical style plots with the same character archetypes and types of gags strewn out between the story. I see the appeal of these types of stories, but just find something else where the characters are tolerable. True score: ~3.7 Don’t just go off these few reviews. Check other sources as well. I really enjoy this cause I’m a big fan of these type of stories. It doesn’t hurt to read more than 15 chapters to see what it’s like. Wish i had read the comments... 🙁 Daemonaux says it all. Plus the strongest man on earth afraid of a punch from his sister, he's denies being Zero but enters the hero BS as a newby and above all, at least the author should give some ridiculous excuse of why he's so strong and was able to find all the weak points of all monsters and such, saying that he was a chuninbyo is the furthest from an explanation there is. ... Last updated on January 13th, 2019, 12:04am Really bad... the humor is really forced and cringey. Characters are annoying and obnoxious. MC is a complete idiot(sells high ranking items for few hundred bucks). Art isn't that good either. There really isn't a single redeeming quality on this manhua. Also it gives the feeling of trying to imitate OPM too much and failing miserably. It's not great. It's hard to even call it good, to be honest. The art isn't great, the story is straight up stolen from OPM, and the characters are mediocre at best and annoying at worst. Mar 8, 2021 AnimeJunki3 Not Recommended Atrocious pacing, 13 minutes runtime is way too short. Reviewer’s Rating: 3 What did you think of this review? Where the anime is right now there isn't really too much going on that is very captivating. Which is unfortunate as the story does get a lot better the longer you read, and the more arcs go past. Especially the start of the anime, the story was very all over the place, with it being hard to get into at first. Reviewer’s Rating: 7 What did you think of this review? In both the manhua and the novel, this is basically just the introduction, setting up a lot of the characters and how they interact. If you're here for an actual complete story, I recommend you read the entire thing instead of watching this. There's just too little runtime in this adaptation to really get things going.
